Galerie u Vltavy - Lannova/Revoluční

Abstract

Galerie je umístěna v ulici Lannova v Praze 1 na Novém Městě. Urbanistická koncepce vychází z rozmanité struktury města a okolní palácové zástavby, která je typická pro linii Vltavy. Budova tvoří významný solitér na nábřeží, kde doplňuje osu významných budov a zceluje tak panorama při pohledu z Letné. Hmota svou pravidelností reaguje na monoblokové kvádry v okolí. Aby nebyla vytvořena pohledová bariéra, byla narušena pasážemi, které jsou typické pro okolní zástavbu. Takto navržená hmota je zahalena do nenápadné, transparentní, skleněné konstrukce, která dodává stavbě lehkost a podtrhuje linie okolní architektury. Konstrukce tvoří jakousi schránku, která v sobě ukrývá poklady českého sklářského průmyslu a reflektuje tak funkci a zaměření galerie.

The Gallery is located in Lannova street, Prague 1 - New Town. The urban concept is based on the diversed structure of the city and surrounding palace buildings, which are typical for the river line. The building forms a significant solitaire on the waterfront, where it complements axis of important buildings and unites the panoramic view from Letná. The mass responds to monoblock blocks in the neighbourhood. To avoid creating the visible barrier, it is disrupted with passages, which are typical for the surrounding buildings. Moreover, the designed mass is wrapped in a subtle, transparent glass structure, which gives the building lightness and highlights lines of the surrounding architecture. Structure forms some kind of a box that conceals treasures of Czech glass industry and reflects the function and focus of the gallery.
