Solární škola v indickém Himálaji

Abstract

V této dizertační práci jsem se zabýval rozborem stavitelství v oblasti himálajského údolí Lung Nag v indickém státě Jammu and Kashmir. Místní stavby jsou tvořené především z lokálně dostupných materiálů a stavěné tradičními postupy. S příchodem civilizace, kdy se jednotlivé vesnice v oblasti propojují silnicí s vnějším světem, však do oblasti přicházejí i nové stavební materiály, které pro zdejší lidi symbolizují pokrok, bohatství i moderní způsob života. Zatím však místní lidé nemají dostatečné technické znalosti pro jejich správné využití, a tak jsou tyto nové realizace, téměř bez výjimky, velmi problematické. Tato práce mapuje současný stav i trendy místního stavitelství. Mým cílem bylo analyzovat jednotlivé místně dostupné materiály a jejich tradiční využití. Zaměřil jsem se i na různé v terénu proveditelné testy materiálů a možné způsoby využití materiálů s ohledem na klimatické možnosti oblasti a sociální potřeby uživatelů. Při zkoumání jsem se zabýval i nejčastějšími konstrukčními nedostatky staveb a degradací jednotlivých materiálů. Součástí této práce je návrh experimentální budovy školy vhodné pro užívání v místních klimatických i kulturně sociálních podmínkách a popis její realizace ve vesnici Kargyak zaměřený zvláště na odlišnosti od běžných postupů v ČR. Stavba je koncipována tak, aby svou architektonickou formou harmonizovala s kulturou oblasti a zároveň při použití hlavně lokálně dostupných materiálů poskytovala řádově příjemnější interiérové prostředí než ostatní stavby ve vesnici či údolí. V rámci práce bylo prováděno klimatické měření a měření vlastností vnitřního prostředí experimentální budovy školy a na základě toho provedeno vyhodnocení fungování této budovy. Zkoumal jsem faktické vlastnosti dostupných materiálů v oblasti výstavby v Kargyaku, hlavně mechanické vlastnosti místních cihel z nepálené hlíny. Kromě stavebních postupů použitých při stavbě budovy školy jsou v práci popsána i další řešení vhodná pro oblasti s tímto klima, a to i s ohledem na pravděpodobné zvyšování množství srážek v budoucnu.

The thesis focuses on the analysis of architecture in Lung Nag valley in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The local buildings are mainly constructed from locally available materials, using the traditional building techniques. However, due to the influx of 'civilization', new roads are being built in order to connect the local villages with the outside world. This, amongst other impacts on the local culture, brings new construction materials, which the local people perceive as progress in development, increase in wealth and introduction of a modern lifestyle. However, the local people have not gained enough technical knowledge to be able to use them adequately. As a result, these new implementations are almost always problematic. My work maps the current situation of the local architectural development and also the trends of the local architecture. The primary aim is to analyse the locally available materials and their traditional use in the local architecture. I also focused on the on-site testing of different materials and on the possible ways of using these with regard to the local climatic conditions and social needs of their users. During my research I also focused on the most common constructional imperfections as well as on the degradation of the local materials. My work includes a proposal of an experimental school building, which would be suitable for the local climatic, cultural and social conditions and also a description of the realization of my design of the school in the village of Kargyak. I highlighted the differences in building designs traditional in the Czech Republic. The building is designed in harmony with the architectural style and culture typical for the region, but at the same time offers more pleasant interior than the usual local buildings, while using exclusively local materials.In the course of my work I also collected meteorological data and monitored the interior conditions of the school. These data formed the basis for my assessment of the functionality of my design. I investigated the practical characteristics of the locally available construction material in Kargyak with particular focus on the mechanical properties of sun dried bricks. Apart from presenting the details of the techniques used at the construction of the school I also describe other possible building solutions suitable for the local conditions. This also includes future climate change scenario.
