URBANISTICKÁ REVITALIZACE SÍDLIŠTĚ POLABINY

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na revitalizaci sídliště Polabiny v Pardubicích oblasti s výhodnou polohou v blízkosti řeky Labe, rozsáhlých zelených ploch a dobrým napojením na dopravní infrastrukturu. Přestože si Polabiny udržují stabilní počet obyvatel, jejich převážně rezidenční charakter omezuje jejich městský potenciál. Projekt navrhuje redefinici role Polabin v rámci města prostřednictvím lepší integrace do jeho urbanistické struktury, zlepšení prostorové orientace a posílení mobility pomocí multimodálního dopravního systému. Klíčovým prvkem je vytvoření jasné uliční hierarchie, která podpoří propojení místních center a oživí veřejný prostor. Návrh citlivě vychází ze stávající urbanistické struktury, kterou doplňuje o chybějící funkce kulturní, komerční a rekreační aktivity a přizpůsobuje ji potřebám současného i budoucího využití.

The thesis focuses on the revitalization of the Polabiny housing estate in Pardubice an area with a beneficial location near the Elbe River, extensive green areas and well-connected to the transport infrastructure. Although Polabiny maintains a stable population, its predominantly residential character limits its urban potential. The project proposes to redefine the role of Polabiny within the city through better integration into its urban structure, improved spatial orientation and enhanced mobility through a multimodal transport system. A key element is the creation of a clear street hierarchy that will support the connectivity of local centres and revitalise the public space. The design builds on the existing urban structure, sensitively adding missing functions - cultural, commercial and recreational activities - and adapting it to the needs of current and future uses.
