The aim of the dissertation thesis is to produce a calculation tool for evaluating the energy performance of a building during its operation. The first part provides an overview of the current state of knowledge in the field of building energy and legislative framework. Subsequently, a model for data analysis and cleaning from the building's measurement and control system is assembled. Cleaned data are a fundamental condition for the optimal and accurate assessment of the operational energy demand of the building. In the following chapter, the calculation of the operational energy performance of the building is summarized. The structure of the outputs corresponds to the building's energy performance certificate. The author focuses on delivered subenergy for heating, hot water preparation, lighting and ventilation. For each delivered subenergy, the introduction specifies which quantities need to be measured in the building for a proper assessment of the operational energy demand. The evaluation procedure is then conducted and described, taking into account periods when data from the building's measurement system were disrupted. The calculation procedure first establishes boundary conditions that enter the calculation, and their recalculation is subsequently performed for relevant comparison between the assessed and reference year. At the end, the outputs of the computational model are defined. A separate subchapter is dedicated to individual energy carriers and renewable energy sources. Within a case study, the computational model is tested on a specific building with continuous monitoring. The concluding part of the thesis summarizes how its specific objectives were achieved, discusses its contributions, and also explores its limitations and possibilities for further related research.
