This thesis addresses the problems and impacts of the decarbonization of the energy sector on the control of the transmission system in the Czech Republic. With an increasing share of renewable energy sources and the gradual phasing out of traditional sources, the study focuses on identifying key challenges such as the variability and unpredictability of renewable sources, loss of inertia, short-circuit current, voltage stability, and other technical aspects. The thesis analyzes potential development scenarios of the energy mix until 2040 and proposes technological solutions that could address these challenges. The results demonstrate that the integration of new technologies and strategic planning are crucial for ensuring the stability and security of the future transmission system.
