The Vítězné Náměstí roundabout is an important intersection in Prague, the Czech Republic, connecting travelers to government buildings, a university district, and more. Several modes of transportation interact in this space, including trams, buses, and vehicles. Due to its high traffic volumes during peak hours and unique geometry, the intersection builds long queues along various approaches and often within the roundabout. The objectives of this thesis is to model the current situtaion at the Vítězné Náměstí roundabout and compare it to two other geometrical configurations, one of the winning design of an international competition and another based off of design standards from the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices published by the FHWA. Operational improvements for the intersection will be discussed based on the outcomes of the simulations.cze
