Využití flotil leteckých společností v průběhu Covid-19

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o využívání flotil leteckých společností v průběhu pandemie covid-19. Motivací pro vytvoření této práce byla demonstrace dopadů pandemie na flotily leteckých společností a popisu rozdílů mezi nimi. Zároveň lze díky problematice využívání flotil obecně lépe pochopit vliv pandemie na letecký průmysl. Pro analýzu bylo vybráno šest evropských leteckých společností provozujících dva typy letadel. Tyto flotily byly následně porovnávány na základě několika provozních parametrů pomocí korelační analýzy, diference a krabicových grafů. Tato analýza byla provedena v průběhu tří let – pandemií nezasažený rok 2019 byl porovnáván s roky 2020 a 2021. Na základě analýzy byly určeny flotily a letecké společnosti, které i přes probíhající pandemii dosáhly vysokých hodnot využití a přispívaly tak k udržení letecké dopravy v Evropě po dobu této zcela nestandardní situace.

The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is Airline fleet utilisation during covid-19 pandemic. Motivation to create this thesis was to demonstrate the effects of pandemics on airline’s fleets and to describe differences between them. It is also possible to understand better the effects of pandemics to the aviation industry in general thanks to the topic of fleet utilisation. There were six European airlines operating two certain types of aircraft chosen for the analysis. The time range for the analysis is 3 years – data from the year of 2019 with no pandemic are compared with the two following pandemic years. Comparison of four parameters of these fleets was made by using correlation analysis, difference analysis and box plots. Based on the analysis, there were described airlines whose fleets achieved high utilisation and contributed to keep air travel in Europe alive during this non-standard situation.
