Účinky vybraných médií byly stanoveny pomocí aplikace tahových zkoušek, úbytků hmotnosti a rastrovací elektronové mikroskopie. | cze |
dc.description.abstract | Nanofibers represent highly porous structures that exert a significantly higher swelling ratio than micro or macrostructured forms. Hydration can significantly affect their mechanical properties, so it is necessary to examine the behavior of nanofibrous materials intended for applications in wet environments at least in a hydrated state. However, materials intended for soft tissue replacements are exposed to far more demanding conditions. The physiological environment leads to the gradual degradation of these materials. The human body affects the material through many factors including pH, mechanical stress, enzymes, cells, etc. There are several ways to simulate body conditions. The choice depends on the final purpose of the prepared material and financial possibilities. This study focuses on the description of the differences between degradation in selected simulated body conditions and degradation in vivo. The experiments were performed on nanofibrous composites based on ε-caprolactone/L-lactide copolymer nanofibers and a collagen matrix (type I). Such composite is theoretically a suitable candidate to be used in the production of pulmonary artery bandings for cardiovascular surgery. The mechanical and structural effects of the enzyme-free or enzymatic media were determined via the application of tensile mechanical tests, the determination of mass loss, and scanning electron microscopy. | eng |
