The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of barrel tools and the influence of non-consecutive and consecutive machining on the surface structure. The first section of the theoretical part focuses on non-consecutive and consecutive machining, surface structure and chip formation. The next part is devoted to barrel tools, their basic classification, use and theoretical comparison with a ball end mill. The last section of the theoretical part compares CAM software in terms of approach and machining strategies of barrel tools. The practical part focuses on the comparison of surface structure and machine time in non-consecutive and consecutive milling with ball end and barrel milling cutters, as well as the change of surface structure and machine time in half line spacing. Furthermore, the wear of the tool and the accuracy of the created angle of 2.5 ° are evaluated.
