KOŠICE

Abstract

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá urbanistickou štrukturou mesta Košice. Preveruje možnosti prepojenia jeho častí. V bližšej mierke sa venuje oslabeným centrom. Návrh skúma alternatívu rozvoja územia historického jadra a jeho prepojenie s novým centrom. Predmetom záujmu je územie vo väzbe na rieku Hornád v centrálnej časti mesta. Cieľom urbanistického návrhu je rekreovanie atraktívneho mestského prostredia pre funkcie vyššej občianskej vybavenosti, bývania, rekreácie, športu a zelene a so zreteľom na polohu územia s cieľom rozvinutia celomestského centra, vrátane centra na regionálnej úrovni. Ponúka potenciál ďalšieho zjednotenia mesta-priestorovým a funkčným riešením brownfiledu nachádzajúcom sa v tesnom napojení na historickú časť mesta Košíc. Územie je podľa územného plánu prevažne označené ako rozvojové územie alebo ako územie určené na prestavbu. Územie je málo urbanizované, prevažne tvorené výrobnýmí areálmi č skladmi alebo inou zpevnenou plochou či nezpvenenou neudržiavanou plochou. Vnútorná periféria za hranou centra vytvára niekoľko problematík – priestorová bariéra medzi centrom a ďalšími časťami mesta, zlá priestupnosť, vylúčené a nevhodne využívané územia. Návrh preveruje umiestnenie inštitúcií mestom plánovaných na územie nového centra. Rozprestretie verejných inštitúcií pozdĺž významných osí prispieva ku komplexnému vnímaniu mestského centra. Nová zástavba podporuje význam existujúcich verejných priestranstiev, do organizmu mesta zapája neatraktívne nábrežie rieky a bývalé priemyselné územie.

The diploma thesis deals with the urban structure of the city of Košice. It examines the possibilities of connecting its parts. On a closer scale, it deals with the weakened center. The proposal examines the alternative development of the historic core area and its connection with the new center. The subject of interest is the area in connection with the river Hornád in the central part of the city. The aim of the urban design is to recreate an attractive urban environment for the functions of higher civic amenities, housing, recreation, sports and greenery and with regard to the location of the territory in order to develop the city center, including the center at the regional level. It offers the potential for further unification of the city - a spatial and functional brownfield solution located in close connection with the historical part of the city of Košice. According to the zoning plan, the area is mostly designated as a development area or as a territory intended for reconstruction. The area is sparsely urbanized, mostly formed by production areas or warehouses or other paved area or unpaved unmaintained area. The inner periphery behind the edge of the center creates several problems - the spatial barrier between the center and other parts of the city, poor permeability, excluded and inappropriately used areas. The proposal examines the location of the city's planned institutions in the new center. The spread of public institutions along major axes contributes to a comprehensive perception of the city center. The new development supports the importance of the existing public spaces, it incorporates the unattractive river embankment and the former industrial area into the city. The Hornád River and its surroundings do not currently have a design in the urban layout of the city of Košice that would correspond to its importance and potential. The location along the railway line bordered by the riverbed is currently located behind the edge of the city center and thus creates a void.
