Abstract

Předmětem práce je návrh urbanistického a architektonického řešení centrální části města významně zasažené asanačními procesy osmdesátých let a následnou nekoncepční výstavbou budovy gymnázia. Ta měla původně sloužit jako kulturní centrum. Stavba si svým tvarem a umístěním vynucuje vlastní prostor a znemožňuje přímé napojení nové zástavby. Práce se snaží o doplnění zástavby a o scelení a oživení centra města, které vlivem vylidnění upadá.

The subject of the thesis is a proposal for the urban and architectural design of the central part of the city significantly affected by the redevelopment processes of the 1980s and the subsequent unconceptual construction of the gymnasium building. It was originally intended to serve as a cultural centre. The shape and location of the building forces its own space and prevents direct connection to the new development. The work seeks to complement the development and to integrate and revitalise the town centre, which is in decline due to depopulation.
