Abstract

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na hledání možných alternativ využití k oblasti kolem Mariánských hradeb se zvláštním zřetelem na jejich bastiony. Hlavním tématem je „vrstvení“, přidávání vrstev nové architektury na starou, hledání nového přínosu pro okolní město. Podrobně se pak zabývá návrhem polyfunkčního souboru staveb s převládající funkcí bydlení a jeho náležitostí.

The thesis focuses on the search for possible alternative uses for the area around the Mariánské Walls, with special attention to their bastions. The main theme is “layering”, adding layers of new architecture on top of the old, looking for a new contribution to the surrounding city. The design of a multifunctional set of buildings with a predominant function of housing and its requisites is then dealt with in detail.
