Masarykova akademie práce - IV. odbor strojní a elektrotechnický

Abstract

Disertační práce zachycuje vývoj, činnost a vědeckospolečenský přínos první české/československé vědecké instituce technického směru, Masarykovy akademie práce (MAP), která náležela mezi nejvýznamnější ústřední vědecké společnosti své doby. Tato vědeckotechnická instituce je zároveň představitelkou prvotního institucionálního zakotvení technických věd na území českých zemí. V tehdejší nové Československé republice představovala vedle tradiční Královské české společnosti nauk a České akademie věd a umění a nově vytvořené Československé národní rady badatelské nejmladší českou vědeckou instituci po I. světové válce. V roce 1952 byla společně s výše jmenovanými a dalšími institucemi začleněna do Československé akademie věd, předchůdkyně dnešní Akademie věd České republiky. Význam Masarykovy akademie práce tkví zejména v cílené aplikaci vědeckých a technických poznatků v praxi. Tato disertační práce se zaměřuje na konkrétní specifický segment činnosti této technické akademie, a to na aktivity a působení jejího IV. odboru strojního a elektrotechnického.

The dissertation describes the development, activities as well as the scientific and social contribution of the first Czech (Czechoslovak) technically oriented scientific institution, Masaryk Academy of Labour (MAL), which ranked among the most significant scientific associations of that time. Simultaneously, this scientific and technical institution represents the first institutional establishment of technical sciences in the Czech territory. At the time of the new Czechoslovak Republic, the institution was one of the first Czech scientific institutions which was, together with the Royal Bohemian Society of Sciences and the Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts, integrated in the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in 1952, the predecessor of today’s Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The fact that the Masaryk Academy focused on the application of scientific and technical findings in practice is the main source of its significance. This dissertation is devoted to the presentation of the aims and activities of the fourth division of mechanical and electrical engineering of this technical academy.
