Procházení památníkem Jana Palacha nás činí součástí tehdejší situace a tehdejší situaci součástí našeho dnešního života. Symboly odkazují k tématům, se kterými se setkáváme v naší každodennosti. The character of the Jan Palach Memorial in Všetaty – a family house, where the bearer of the legacy is the space of architecture in and of itself – reveals on yet another level that not only in history, but equally in the present moment, architecture may and can take up the language of conversation, with the individual human being and the entire world, and that this language need not refer solely back onto itself, but can represent the thoughts of society and, through the creation of space, assist in formulating the humanistic dimension of the world. And that it is possible to place it in the service of those values which Jan Palach also defended, in his life and his final act.
