Konverze bývalé holešovické elektrárny

Abstract

Tématem této diplomové práce je konverze bývalé Holešovické elektrárny na Centrum tvorby a umění, které má za cíl stát se kulturně společenským centrem celé lokality a být kulturně vzdělávací institucí s mezinárodním přesahem. Centrum spojuje pod jednou střechou několik typologických celků - multifunkční sál, galerii, knihovnu, ateliéry a rezidentní ubytování. Budova bývalé elektrárny je konvertována tak, aby zůstala zachována její nesporná estetika. Návrh vstupuje do současné hmoty elektrárny výškovou novostavbou v těsné blízkosti stavby, která je materiálovým a kompozičním protipólem stávající struktury. Dalším výrazným zásahem do stávající struktury je vytvoření krytého venkovního prostoru v místě, kde stávalo jižní křídlo kotelny. Haly jsou doplněny vnitřními vestavbami, které jsou navrženy v hmotovém kontrastu, ale s respektem ke stávajícímu prostoru. Zachování komína a stop historického technického vybavení elektrárny a materiálové řešení parteru připomíná stavební historii budovy bývalé holešovické elektrárny i celého řešeného území.

The topic of this thesis is the conversion of the former Holešovice power plant to the Center of Creation and Art, which aims to become a culturally social center of the whole locality and to be a culturally educational institution with an international reach. The center combines several typological units under one roof - a multifunctional hall, a gallery, a library, studios and resident accommodation. The building of the former power plant is converted to preserve its undisputed aesthetics. The design enters the current structure of the power plant with a new high-rise building in close proximity to the building, which is the material and compositional counterpart of the existing structure. Another significant intervention in the existing structure is the creation of a covered outdoor space where the southern wing of the boiler room used to stand. The halls are complemented by internal fittings that are designed in mass contrast but with respect to the existing space. Maintaining the chimney and traces of the historical technical equipment of the power plant and the material solution of the parterre resembles the architectural history of the former Holešovice power plant and the entire area.
