Konverze bývalé teplárny Veleslavín

Abstract

Témou mojej diplomovej práce je konverzia bývalej teplárne Veleslavín. Práca nadväzuje na preddiplomový projekt, urbanistickú štúdiu areálu teplárne. Nové urbanistické riešenie otvára areál. Z priemyselného, nevyužívaného územia sa stáva centrum ?života? pre Prahu 6, Veleslavín. Hlavnou kompozičnou osou sa stáva oceľová lávka vo výške 6 metrov, ktorá spája západnú a východnú časť územia. Je zhmotnením myšlienky nadväznosti jednotlivých priemyselných procesov. Sú na ňu orientované všetky nové hmoty a ich funkcie. Rovnako je na ňu napojená aj budova teplárne. Je hlavnou dominantou územia a to nielen svojou masívnou hmotou ale tiež polohou. Tak sa stáva rozpoznateľnou už z diaľky. Práve táto veľkolepá kulisa teplárne ma inšpirovala vytvoriť priestor ktorý prinesie ľudom príležitosť na sociálnu interakciu spojenú s aktivitami, umením, oddychom, vzdelávaním a bude pre nich atraktívny. Konverzia teplárne na komunitné centrum je reakciou na potreby dnešných ľudí a život vo veľkomeste, ktorý často prináša stratu identity a pocit samoty. Vzniká tak miesto harmónie kontrastu medzi chladným priemyselným charakterom teplárne a životom ktorý sa v nej odohráva. Celkový koncept prináša moderné a dôvtipné urbanisticko- architektonicko ?materiálovo- konštrukčné riešenie vzhľadom na danú lokalitu, prírodné prostredie a funkcie.

The theme of my thesis is the conversion of the heating plant called Veleslavín. The work follows the pre-diploma project, urban study for the grounds of Veleslavín. This new urban study comes with solution to have the power plant fully opened to public. And so the past industrial, unused land becomes the center of "life" for Prague 6, Veleslavín. Main compositional center line is a steel bridge of six meters, which connects the western and eastern part of the territory. The bridge shall recreate the idea of continuity for individual industrial processes. Every new material and its functions are focused right on it. It is connected to heating plant as well. The location and its giant mass makes it absolutely dominant. Thus it becomes recognizable from afar. It is this spectacular scenery of power plant that inspired me to create a space that brings people the opportunity for social interaction associated with activities, art, recreation, education, and will be attractive to them. This conversion to a community center is a response to the needs of today?s people and life in the big city, which often implies a loss of identity and a feeling of loneliness. This creates a place of harmony contrast between the cold industrial character of heating plant and life that takes place in it. The overall concept brings modern and clever urban- -material- architectural design with respect to the site, the natural environment and features.
