Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá nově navrženým centrem, které tvoří kruhové náměstí, na území dnešní výstaviště Holešovice. Náměstí dostalo název Náměstí 1891, které odkazuje na rok otevření Průmyslového paláce a druhou jubilejní zemskou výstavu. Práce navazuje na předdiplomní projekt z předchozího semestru, jenž řešil urbanistickou studii na konverzi a revitalizaci části území Prahy výstaviště Holešovice. Novým řešením se zde stává náměstí, které má být centrem zábavy, vzdělání, nákupování, vybaveností a dopravního uzlu. Snaží se nabídnout to, co území výstaviště dodnes postrádá a kvůli čemu území výstaviště chátrá. Do nově navrženého náměstí je vybudována nová železniční zastávka na trati směrem k Masarykovu nádraží. Konstrukce nové železniční zastávky ve tvaru rozevřeného tubusu dodává území jedinečný ráz a charakter a stává se v území dominantou. Do navrženého území je přeložena i tramvajová doprava, která se snaží propojit okolí s územím a umožnit lidem lepší přístup do nového centra. Náměstí se snaží být maximálně průchozí a propojit tak významné památky ( od Průmyslového paláce k budově elektrárny) . Parter náměstí je řešen jako výstavní prostor s pavilonky, které nabízí lidem informační a vzdělávací funkci s odkazem na rok 1891 a historii území.

The Graduation work thesis is about the newly designed centre, which is made up of a round square, in the area of today's exhibition ground Holešovice. The square was named in Cirkus 1891. This year was also significant for the opening of The Industrial Palace and also of the second Jubilee Earth Exhibition. This thesis relates to the preliminary thesis project conducted in the previous term, which was interested in Urban studies of reconversion and revitalisation of this part of Prague, of výstaviště Holešovice. The new solution here is the square, that ought to be an entertainment center, shopping centre, centre of education, centre of amenities and transportion. The aim of this square is to offer what the exhibition ground is lacking up to the present day. The newly designed square includes a new railway station (stop) in the direction of Masaryk Railway Station. The construction of this stop is in the shape of an outspread tube and it leaves an impression of uniqueness and becomes a landmark of this area. In addition, tram network is also placed here, which purpose is to connect the area with the surroundings and provides people with a better access to the new centre. The square aims to be maximally straight-through and to be a connection between major sights from The Industrial Palace to the building of electricity. Parter of the cirkus shall serves as an exhibition space with pavilions, providing people with an informative and educational function with reference to the year 1891 and history of the area.
