The thesis dealt with analysis of the wind speeds and directions, which has been measured at a meteorological mast in Dukovany, as well as with following calculation of the roughness length from vertical wind speed profile. The objective of the thesis was to select the measured profiles, which were most suitable for calculating the roughness length from. The filters applied on dataset were selected based on the directions and steadiness of the flow. Measured profiles have been approximated by a logarithmic wind profile. The wind profiles suitable for determination of the roughness length were chosen based on evaluation of the differences between measured and calculated profiles. These differences were evaluated using several goodness-of-fit criteria. Subsequently, roughness lengths for specific periods of the year as well as for wind speed categories were calculated from the suitable profiles. The obtained roughness lengths were compared with the previously published values.
