Cílem této diplomové práce bylo navrhnout moderní muzeum s expozicemi věnovanými českému železářství. Jedná se o konverzi bývalých generátorových hal v areálu Poldi Kladno. Nové urbanistické řešení otevírá tuto lokalitu veřejnosti a vytváří novou čtvrť s prvky odkazujícími k industriální minulosti místa.
The aim of this master's thesis was to design a museum with exhibition dedicated to Czech steel industry which would reflect present aesthetical and technological demands on designing houses. Nowadays the object is unused and gradually decaying. The project of adaptive reuse transforms these twin halls into new building which could accelerate a conversion of area Poldi Kladno. New masterplan enables the opening of the area to the public and creates a new quarter with genius loci of former industrial work. The project focus on creating numerous green areas, humanscale public spaces with active borders between private and public and giving priority to pedestrian and cycling lanes. The main pedestrian axis also goes through the object of twin halls and creates beautiful public space with trees and water below the north hall. The south hall was covered with an envelope of steel and glass becoming an exhibit itself the statue which for many people from Kladno will remain memory of hard but honorable work in the past.eng
