POLDI-Kladno, Konverze dvojhalí

Abstract

Diplomová práce zpracovává konverzi dvou generátorových hal v bývalém areálu hutí POLDI Kladno. V nově navrženém území má toto dvohalí místo na hlavním náměstí v centru nové čtvrti. Mezi halami je ponechán průchod od zastávky nově navrženého vláčku k budovám v okolí náměstí. Prostor byl navržen tak, aby byl v co největší míře zachována atmosféra opuštěných průmyslových hal. Haly jsou nově využity jako restaurace a galerie moderního umění. Hala, nově využitá jako galerie, je z velké části opláštěna cortenovým plechem a tahokovem z cortenového plechu. Původní konstrukce je kompletně viditelná v interiéru galerie, kde působí jako hlavní umělecké dílo. Z druhé haly byli odstraněny veškeré původní nenosné konstrukce a zbyl pouze betonový skelet haly. Pod tímto skeletem se nachází prostor nově navržené restaurace a v prostorách pod původní střechou se pak nachází letní terasa, provozně propojená s restaurací dole.

The thesis deals with the conversion of two generator halls in the former area of POLDI Kladno iron and steel works. According to the plans of newly designed site this double-hall is situated at the main square in the centre of the new quarter. The passage between the halls enables passing from the stop of newly designed mini-railway to the buildings in square surroundings. The area has been designed to keep the utmost atmosphere of abandoned industrial halls. The halls are newly used as a restaurant and a gallery of modern art. The hall used as a gallery is covered mostly with korten sheet and cornboard extrusion. The original construction is fully visible in gallery interior as a main masterpiece. All the original non-load-bearing constructions were removed from the other hall, leaving only concrete skeleton of the building. Under this skeleton the newly designed restaurant area is situated. The summer terrace is placed in the space under the original roof and is operationally connected with the restaurant below.
