AETERNUM ? Nové pojetí kolumbária

Abstract

Aeternum je zcela novým typem kolumbária. Urny mají tvar koule a jsou zasazeny do odrazivého skla, které představuje pomyslnou hranici mezi naším světem a světem kam jednou všichni odejdeme. Myšlenkou projektu je pomyslné rozdělení člověka na tělo a duši. Proto je i urna dělená sklem na dvě poloviny. Polokoule vystupující ze skla slouží pro uložení lidského popelu. Druhá půlka za sklem představuje naši druhou nehmotnou polovinu. Za polopropustným sklem je s mírným odstupem umístěno zrcadlo. Díky tomu, že jsou naproti sobě dvě reflexní plochy, dochází k nekonečnému odrazu spodní polokoule. To vyvolává pocit naděje, duše nezanikla a dál existuje v myšlenkách blízkých osob a možná nejen tam, kdo ví, zda je smrt skutečně tou poslední tečkou?

Aeternum is a new type of columbarium. The urns of the columbarium are spherical and are set into reflective glass which represents the imaginary boundary between this world and the world after. The main idea of this project is an imaginary division of a man into the body and the soul. This is the reason why the urn is devided by glass in 2 halves. The hemisphere emerging from the glass serves for storing the human ash, the socond one behind the glass represents the second intangible half of a man. There is a mirror placed behind the semi-permeable glass. There are 2 reflective surfaces opposite each other and that is the reason the bottom hemisphere is infinitely reflected. This creates a feeling of hope - the soul didn't pass away and exists in thoughts of the relatives and maybe not only there. Who knows if death is really the last thing...
