Využití helioxu v respirační péči

Abstract

Práce se zabývá teoretickými možnostmi přínosu využití helioxu v respirační péči. Heliox je směs helia a kyslíku, která má odlišné fyzikální parametry od vzduchu. Zejména menší hustota směsi umožňuje optimalizovat respirační péči o pacienta např. snížením dechové práce. Druhá kapitola je úvodem do problematiky používání helioxu. Další část je stručným popisem anatomie plic a mechaniky dýchání. Poslední bod této práce je zaměřen na výpočtové ověření výhod při používání helioxu a na prozkoumání vlastností helia a to za pomoci základních fyzikálních principů a matematických výpočtů.

The study deals with theoretical possibilities of benefit of the heliox usage in the Respiratory Care. Heliox is a mixture of helium and oxygen, which has different physical parameters contrary to air. Different physical parameters, mainly the density of the mixture, enable optimize the Respiratory Care for example by the decrease of the breathing work. The chapter one is an introduction in to the area of application of the heliox. Subsequence chapter is a breath description of anatomy of lungs and mechanics of breathing. The last chapter of this study deals with computational verification of advantages of using heliox and with study of properties of helium using basic physical principles and mathematical calculations.
