This bachelor thesis is focused on developing of the coincidence method for measurement of activity of radioactive nuclei at Department of Nuclear Reactors (DNR) at FNSP CTU in Prague. First, there is a theoretical background of nuclear disintegration, especially in the form of gamma photons and beta emission. Next, there is described a detection by various types of detectors, but especially by scintillation detector with NaI(Tl) crystal. Furthermore, it contains several non coincidental and coincidental approaches of determination of the activity. The main part of the thesis is based on theory of the coincidence measurement and the description of the experimental equipment required for coincidence measurement. At last, there is designed a detection arrangement. lt is tested on the exemplary experiment.
