Kulturní centrum Papírenská

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem kulturního centra v pražské čtvrti Bubeneč, v bezprostředním sousedství areálu historické čistírny odpadních vod a v blízkosti břehu Vltavy. Urbanistické řešení reaguje na navrhovanou transformaci širšího území Bubenče, včetně plánované blokové zástavby, oživení veřejných prostor a zlepšenéí prostupnosti území. Návrh se snaží posílit pěší prostupnost směrem k Vltavě a nabídnout otevřený kulturní bod v kontrastu k uzavřenějším strukturám okolní zástavby. Vztah k industriálnímu dědictví čistírny je reflektován jak v koncepci využití, tak ve výrazových prostředcích stavby. Projekt částečně využívá stávající strukturu obvodové zdi bývalé textilní haly které jsou reinterpretovány jako oplocení a rámec pro nově vzniklý poloveřejný venkovní prostor, sloužící komunitnímu setkávání. Do původního půdorysu haly je vložen nový objem kulturního centra, navržený jako soudobý architektonický prvek do stávající stopy haly a tvoří kontrastní, ale citlivý dialog se zachovanými částmi původní struktury. Fasáda a její další prvky jsou tvořeny měděnými panely. Ty se časem vlivem vnějších podmínek přirozeně proměňují postupně oxidují a získávají charakteristickou zelenou patinu, čímž se mění i celkový výraz a atmosféra stavby. Objekt tím zrcadlí industriální ráz území a přilehlé čistírny. Stavba nabízí v přízemí otevřený prostor s kavárnou, vstupním foyer a galerií, dále pak flexibilní sály a místnosti pro konání workshopů, koncertů, přednášek a dalších kulturních či tvůrčích aktivit. Druhé nadzemní podlaží je věnováno výstavním plochám a ve třetím patře se nachází zázemí pro umělce ateliéry, administrativa a sklady. Objekt je podsklepený a disponuje parkovacími kapacitami.

The diploma project presents a design for a cultural center located in the Prague district of Bubeneč, in close proximity to the historical complex of the former wastewater treatment plant and near the banks of the Vltava River. The urban concept responds to the planned transformation of the wider Bubeneč area, including proposed perimeter block development, revitalization of public spaces, and improved permeability of the territory. The design aims to strengthen pedestrian connections towards the river and to introduce an open cultural node in contrast to the more enclosed structures of the surrounding urban fabric. The relationship to the areas industrial heritage is reflected both in the buildings programmatic concept and in its architectural expression. The project partially incorporates the existing structure, the perimeter walls of a former textile hallwhich are reinterpreted as a boundary and frame for a newly created semi- public courtyard, serving as a space for community gatherings. A new volume of the cultural center is inserted into the footprint of the former hall, designed as a contemporary architectural element that enters into a contrasting yet respectful dialogue with the preserved parts of the original structure. The façade and associated elements are clad in copper panels, which naturally evolve over timeoxidizing gradually and acquiring a distinctive green patina. This transformation alters the appearance and atmosphere of the building, evoking the industrial character of the site and its neighboring water treatment facility. The ground floor offers an open-plan layout with a café, entrance foyer, and gallery space, as well as flexible halls and rooms for workshops, concerts, lectures, and various cultural or creative activities. The second floor is dedicated to exhibition areas, while the third floor houses facilities for artistsstudios, offices, and art storage. The building includes a basement level with integrated parking.
