Abstract

Aké sú možnosti bývania na konci sveta? Vitajte v Libni známej svojou priemyselnou históriou a štrukturálnou rozmanitosťou. V zanedbanom meandri rieky Rokytky, neďaleko Palmovky navrhujem 3 bytové domy s dielňami a skateparkom, ako reakciu na úpravu a rozšírenie cestičky okolo rieky, ako aj plynulý prechod v rámci urbanizmu. Výsledkom je moderný obytný blok lemujúci tichú ulicu. Stavba s pevnou fasádou a tehlovým obkladom na prízemí je rytmicky delená lodžiami a malými zálivmi u vstupov. Na priemyselnú históriu miesta odkazujú svetelné delá na nárožiach. Námestie na konci ulice s upraveným nábrežím a skateparkom poskytuje celú radu aktivít- od športového vyžitia, cez kontakt s vodou až po návštevu miestných dielní -na tomto mieste si nájde niečo pre seba každý.

Welcome to Libeň and its industrial history and high structural diversity. In the neglected meander of a stream, I design 3 apartment buildings with workshops and a skatepark, as an extention of the path around the river, as well as a fluent transition within the urbanism. The result is a modern residential block bordering a quiet residential street. The building with a solid facade and brick cladding on the ground floor is rhythmically divided by loggias and small bays at the entrances. The industrial history is referenced by the light cannons on the top of the corners. The end of the street, with upgraded embankment and a skatepark, provides a range of activities - from sports, through contact with the water to visiting local workshops - simply a place with something for everyone.
