Konverze bývalého cukrovaru v Lázních Toušeň

Abstract

Diplomová práce zpracovává návrh konverze bývalého cukrovaru v Lázních Toušeň. Areál se nachází při levém břehu řeky Labe mezi stávající zástavbou a průmyslovou částí obce. V současnosti je areál využíván filmaři a lakovnou. V kontextu okolí tvoří bariéru mezi obcí, průmyslovou zónou a břehem řeky Labe. Urbanistický návrh celého areálu volně přechází ze stávající rodinné zástavby, na kterou navazují nově navržené rodinné domy, přes občanskou vybavenost až po samotný objekt cukrovaru s lázněmi. Urbanistický návrh zlepšuje prostupnost celým územím a zpřístupňuje svažitý břeh řeky Labe s nově navrženými volnočasovými aktivitami a stávající cyklostezkou. Propojení břehu s budoucí zástavbou, zastávkou MHD a parkovacím domem zajišťuje nově navržená lávka. Nové využití objektu spočívá v rozšíření stávajících lázní doplněné o ubytování a kulturní sál, který přinese nové vyžití a pracovní příležitosti pro obec s rychle rostoucí zástavbou. Podstatou návrhu je zachování a revitalizace hlavní haly cukrovaru, věže a kotelny, s rozšířením o nové vzdušné prvky, které jsou v kontrastu s původní masivní stavbou cukrovaru. Hlavní hala je ponechána ve svém industriálním rázu, jako volně plynoucí prostor, který propojuje jednotlivé funkční celky. Proražením hlavní haly a vložením vstupního bloku vzniká reprezentativní prostor s foyer kulturního sálu. Navýšení věže cukrovaru vytváří protiváhu ke stávající dominantě komínu. Využitelnost lázní jako rekreačního celku dotváří rozšíření stávající kotelny o novou přístavbu bazénové haly.

The Master thesis presents a design of Adaptive re-use of a former sugar factory in Lázně Toušeň. The complex is located on left bank of the Labe River between existing buildings and industrial part of the village. Currently, premises are used by filmmakers and a paint shop. In context of surroundings, the complex forms a barrier between the village, industrial zone, and banks of the Labe River. Urban design of the entire complex transitions from the existing residential buildings, which are followed by newly designed family houses, through public amenities, all the way to the sugar refinery building with the spa. The urban design improves permeability of the entire area and provides access to the sloping banks of the Labe River with newly designed leisure activities and an existing cycle path. Connection between riverbank, future development, public transportation stop, and parking house is ensured by a newly designed bridge. The new use of the building involves expanding the existing spa with accommodation and a cultural hall, which will bring new recreational opportunities and job prospects to the rapidly growing community. The essence of the design is preservation and revitalization of main hall of the sugar refinery, tower, and boiler room, with the addition of new airy elements that contrast with the original massive structure of the sugar refinery. Main hall is preserved in its industrial character as a freely flowing space that connects the individual functional units. By piercing the hall and adding an entrance block, a representative entrance area with the foyer of the cultural hall is created. Heightening of the sugar refinery tower creates a counterbalance to already existing dominance of the chimney. Usability of the spa as a recreational complex completes the expansion of existing boiler room with a new extension for a swimming pool hall.
