Konverze bývalé Mayerovy továrny na kulturní centrum v kontextu malého města

Abstract

Předmětem diplomové práce je návrh konverze areálu Mayerovy továrny ve Dvoře Králové nad Labem. Areál se nachází v těsné blízkosti historického centra a má tak potenciál začlenit se do dění nejen Dvora Králové, ale i širšího okolí. V současnosti areál chátrá a v kontextu veřejného prostoru se chová jako bariéra. Návrh počítá s konverzí areálu na kulturní centrum s multifunkčním sálem, který městu chybí. Kulturní centrum, které bude požadavky na instituci tohoto druhu naplňovat celou svou filosofií - architekturou, materiálovým řešením i urbanistickým začleněním se do okolí. Architektonicky vzniká propojený komplex kulturních funkcí linoucí se z původní industriální budovy. Té je ponechán její osobitý ráz a železobetonový rastr využit k vytvoření prostorných výstavních ploch. Novostavba se s původním objektem potkává ve vstupním foyer, které se volně přelévá do dalších provozů. Tvaroslovím novostavby a jejím vztahem k původní zástavbě vzniká atrium - centrální prostor areálu. To je propojeno se současnou knihovnou a stává se tak jádrem dění celého areálu.

The subject of the diploma thesis is an adaptive reuse of the Mayer's factory in Dvůr Králové nad Labem. The site is located in close proximity to the historical centre and thus has the potential to integrate into the cultural scene not only in Dvůr Králové, but also in the wider surroundings. At present, the site is dilapidated and acts as a barrier in the context of the public space. The proposal envisages the conversion of the site into a cultural centre with a multifunctional hall, which the town lacks. A cultural centre that will meet the requirements of an institution of this kind with its entire philosophy - architecture, material design and urban integration into the surroundings. Architecturally, an interconnected complex of cultural functions is emerging from the original industrial building. The industrial warehouse is left with its distinctive character and the reinforced concrete grid is used to create spacious exhibition areas. The new building meets the original building in the entrance foyer, which flows freely into other areas. The morphology of the new building and its relationship to the original development creates an atrium - the central space of the complex. It is connected to the current library and thus becomes the core of the whole area.
