Abstract

Umělecká galerie je součástí nově vzniklé urbanistické studie území Prahy 5 - Radlice. Objekt se nachází v centru řešeného území a spolu s okolní zástavbou dotváří důležitý prostor náměstí a nároží u hlavního pěšího koridoru. Galerie hmotově vychází z urbanistické studie, členěním jednotlivých hmot však odkazuje na různé provozy, které se v objektu potkávají. Kromě variabilních výstavních prostor se zde nachází auditorium, kavárna, bookshop, ateliéry nebo umělecké dílny. Vše je uspořádáno tak, aby z této kulturní instituce dokázal těžit jak cílový návštěvník, tak náhodný kolemjdoucí. Zároveň, aby jednotlivé provozy dosáhly vhodného umístění vůči světovým stranám a získávaly tak přirozené světlo a výhled do okolní přírody.

The art gallery is a part of urban study of Prague 5 - Radlice. The building is located in the centre of the area and, together with the surrounding buildings, completes the square and the main pedestrian corridor. The shape of the building is inspired by urban study, but its structure refers to the various activities that are aviable at the gallery. The building has variable exhibition spaces, an auditorium, café, bookshop and studios for art workshops. Everything is arranged in such a way that both the visitor and the passer-by can benefit from. This cultural institution allows harmony of art with the daylight orientation and the surrounding vegetation.
