Revitalizace bývalé Mayerovy továrny – Dvůr ve Dvoře Králové

Abstract

Práce předkládá návrh nového kulturního centra Dvora Králové nad Labem cestou revitalizace areálu bývalé Mayerovy továrny a přilehlých veřejných prostranství. Návrh vytváří živý veřejný prostor vně i uvnitř budov a představuje současný kulturní a architektonický symbol města. Nepřehlédnutelná dominanta areálu ve formě věže s tobogánem láká člověka blíž a podněcuje zvědavost. Centrem areálu je však dvůr, který představuje ústřední prostorem mezi jednotlivými budovami areálu a zároveň je univerzálním dějištěm venkovních akcí. Návrh navrací život do historicky významné lokality, která v poslední době silně upadala. Regionální až celorepublikový význam centra však neohrožuje komfortní život místních obyvatel, právě naopak.

The work presents a proposal for a new cultural centre of Dvůr Králové nad Labem by revitalising the former Mayer's factory and the adjacent public spaces. The proposal creates a living public space outside and inside the buildings and represents a contemporary cultural and architectural symbol of the city. The unmistakable dominant feature of the site in the form of a tower with a slide draws people closer and stimulates curiosity. However, the centre of the complex is the courtyard, which serves as a central linking space between the buildings of the complex and is also a universal venue for outdoor events. The proposal thus brings life back to a historically significant site that has been in severe decline in recent times. Although the site is of regional to national importance, it does not threaten the comfortable life of local residents, quite the contrary.
