Abstract

Bakalářská práce nazvaná Industweall se zabývá návrhem generačního urnového hrobu. Mimo jiné hodnotí současnou situaci pohřebnictví v České republice a roli designéra v problematice smrti a pohřbívání. Industweall je nadzemní urnový hrob, jehož výška stoupá s přidáním každé nové urny. Od klasických urnových hrobů se liší i použitým materiálem, neboť jeho části jsou z betonu a kovu. Proto i zvolený název Industweall, volně spojující významy anglických slov Industrial, Dust a We all (v prach se obrátíš/me). Cílem práce je upozornit na stále přetrvávající tabu v oblasti umírání a pohřbů a nabídnout cestu, jak toto odvětví citlivě inovovat.

The bachelor's thesis called Industweall deals with the design of a generational urn grave. Among other things, it evaluates the current situation of funeral services in the Czech Republic and the role of the designer in the issue of death and burial. Industweall is an above-ground urn grave, the height of which increases with the addition of each new urn. It also differs from the classic urn graves in the material used, as its parts are made of concrete and metal. Therefore, the chosen name Industweall, loosely combining the meanings of the English words Industrial, Dust and We all (you will turn to dust). The aim of the thesis is to draw attention to the still continuing taboo in the field of dying and funerals and to show a way to innovate this sector sensitively.
