Abstract

Bytový dům je nový projekt komunitniho bydlení v centrální části Berlína. Čtvrť Kreuzberg, kde se projekt nachází, je domovem studentů, umělců a velké turistické komunity s množstvím kaváren, barů a restaurací. Kreuzberg začíná být čím dál více vyhledávanou lokalitou pro bydlení, a proto jsou ceny za ubytování, v této čtvrti velmi vysoké. Kvůli tomu vznikla myšlenka na realizaci bytového domů pro obyvatele s nízkými příjmy v ulici May-Ayim-Ufer, na nábřeží řeky Sprévy.

This apartment building is a new community housing project in the central part of Berlin. The Kreuzberg district, where the project is located, is home to students, artists and a large tourist community. It has many cafés, bars and restaurants. Kreuzberg is becoming an increasingly popular location for living, and therefore the prices for accommodation in this district are very high. As a result, the idea of the project is an apartment building for low-income class on May-Ayim-Ufer Street, on the banks of the River Spree.
