Barrandov Terraces Pool Revitalization

Abstract

Abstraktní Účelem této diplomové práce je navrhnout rekonstrukci bazénu Barrandovské terasy. Od té doby, co jsem navštívil staré ruiny koupaliště, mě fascinovalo místo a bohatá historie koupaliště a teras. Je to oblast s obrovským potenciálem a zvláštním genius loci. Návrh by měl povzbudit místní komunitu a obyvatele Prahy, aby zažili podobnou slávu, jakou měl plavecký bazén v minulosti, avšak vytvořený pro moderní podmínky a požadavky, přidáním nových aktivit, které nevylučují uživatele neplavců. Tato práce obsahuje kapitoly, každá kapitola se bude zabývat jiným kontextem. První kapitola zvýrazní přehled projektu, kde jsou definovány cíle a cíle projektu, dále bude zmíněna historická pozadí oblasti projektu. Kapitola druhá se bude věnovat podrobné analýze pracoviště a problémům životního prostředí. Kapitola třetí projde návrhovými normami a pokyny pro zařízení plaveckých bazénů, která mají být použita jako reference v tomto návrhu. Nakonec poslední kapitola pokryje dokumentaci návrhu pomocí výkresu a vizualizace.

Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to propose a renovation of the Barrandov terraces swimming pool. Ever since I visited the old swimming pool ruins, I was fascinated by the site and by the rich history of the swimming pool and the terraces. It is a an area with a huge potentials and special genius loci. The proposal should encourage the local community and Prague residents to experience a similar glory to what the swimming pool had in the past, however made for modern conditions and requirements, by adding new activities that is not excluding of non swimmers users. This thesis contains chapters, each chapter will address different context. The first chapter will highlight the project overview where the project goals and objectives are defined, in addition, the chapter will mention the historical background of the project area. Chapter two will address detailed site analysis and environmental issues. Chapter three will go through the design standards and guidelines for swimming pool facilities to be used as a reference in this proposal. Finally, the last chapter will cover the documentation of the proposal using drawing and visualization.
