| dc.description.abstract | Česká plachetnice La Grace (v překladu „Půvabná“), která brázdí moře a oceány od prosince 2010, je věrnou replikou brigy z druhé poloviny 18. století. Její konstrukce vychází z výkresů, které v roce 1768 v knize „Architectura navalis mercatoria“ vydal švédský admirál, vědec a konstruktér lodí Fredrik Henrik af Chapman (1721-1808). Ten je považován za největšího lodního konstruktéra všech dob a lodního architekta, který položil základ moderní stavbě lodí podle přesných výkresů a vědeckých metod a zavedl systém prefabrikace v loděnicích.
Příspěvek podrobně popisuje stavbu lodě od výběru materiálu, přes konstrukci až po prvky takeláže. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The Czech sailing ship La Grace (translated as "Charming"), which has been cruising the seas and oceans since December 2010, is a faithful replica of a brig from the second half of the 18th century. Its construction is based on drawings published in 1768 in the book "Architectura navalis mercatoria" by the Swedish admiral, scientist and shipbuilder Fredrik Henrik af Chapman (1721-1808). He is considered to be the greatest ship designer of all time and a ship architect, who laid the foundation for modern shipbuilding according to precise drawings and scientific methods and introduced a system of prefabrication in shipyards.
