The paper deals with lightweight concrete with fibre reinforcement fixed in the net form and its application in thinwalled structures. The experimental research included the production of thin-walled slabs and complementary test specimens to determine the lightweight concrete material characteristics. The recipe of fine-grained concrete used
contains Liapor porous aggregate. Two types of 3D glass textiles with different mesh densities were used to reinforce the slabs. The slabs were concreted horizontally in special wooden formworks. A suitable recipe avoids undesirable separation of lightweight aggregates. Specimens showed high strength even at low bulk density. Slabs tested in flexural strength demonstrated, after unloading, the ability to partially close cracks and reduce the resulting deflection. This fact proved that this reinforcement acts partially pre-stressed.
