dc.description.abstractThe standard EN 1992-1-1 [1] provides two approaches to limiting deflection of ceiling structures. One approach is limitation of bending slenderness using simple formulas. The second approach is the direct calculation of deflection. In the paper, there are analyzed restrictive conditions for the use of limited bending slenderness. Further there are design approaches for determining deflections of conventional floor building structures. Then there is mentioned the solution of estimating of total deflection from the linear FEM calculations. Information on other methods of determining the deflection of ceiling structures is given in the end.eng
