Vliv průmyslové praxe na odborné a moderní vzděláván chemických inženýrů: rozvoj stolic pražského technického učiliště a jejich administrativní a odborné obsazování v návaznosti na průmyslový rozvoj v českých zemích od roku 1870 do roku 1920

Abstract

Disertační práce je příspěvkem k vývoji oboru potravinářské chemie na C. k. České vysoké škole technické v Praze (a poté Českého vysokého učení technického v Praze) v letech 1870-1920. Zachycuje zejména vývoj a rozvoj výuky chemických oborů a jejich moderní zapojení do procesu industrializace a především druhé fáze probíhající průmyslové revoluce v českých zemích. Historie chemie a chemického průmyslu byly již dříve hojně popsány, avšak vyjma konkrétní činnosti a informací o samotných vyučujících tohoto oboru, kteří na škole působili a pracovali v jednotlivých odvětvích potravinářského průmyslu. Právě oni měli zásadní úlohu při formování budoucích techniků-praktiků chemického průmyslu a následného vytváření technické elity. Analýza jejich působení je také hlavním úkolem předložené disertace, z něhož vycházejí další otázky této práce. Vedle úvodní kontextuální části obsahuje disertace dvě hlavní analytické části, ve kterých je představena a rozebrána činnosti dvou generací vyučujících, kteří se ve sledovaném období na české technice v Praze vystřídali a kteří svou činností, dílem a zapojením do života české společnosti sami tvořili součást její technické elity.

The thesis is a contribution to the development of the field of food chemistry at the I. & R. Czech Technical University in Prague (and then the Czech Technical University in Prague) in the years 1870-1920. It captures in particular the progress and development of teaching chemical disciplines and their modern involvement in the process of industrialization and especially the second phase of the ongoing industrial revolution in the Czech lands. The history of chemistry and of the chemical industry has been widely described in the past, but with the exception of specific activities and information about the teachers of this field themselves, who worked at the school and worked in various branches of the food industry. They played a crucial role in the education and training of future technicians-practitioners, the chemical industry and the subsequent creation of a technical elite. The analysis of their influence is also the main topic of the present thesis, from which other questions of this work derive. In addition to the introductory contextual part, the thesis contains two main analytical parts, in which are introduced and analysed the activities of two generations of teachers, who worked at the Czech Technical University in Prague in the period under review and who, through their activities, work and involvement in the life of Czech society, formed part of its technical elite.
