Tento příspěvek je věnován výpočetnímu softwaru pro geotechniku a zakládání staveb GEO5. Poprvé byl software GEO uveden na trh před 25 lety společností FINE jako pomocný nástroj stavebním inženýrům, projektantům a technikům při jejich náročné práci. Za tuto dobu software GEO5 prošel progresivním vývojem a v současnosti programy slouží více než 3000 uživatelům ve 100 zemích světa. Software GEO5 obsahuje 24 programových modulů pro různé geotechnické výpočty. Nová verze GEO5 vychází obvykle dvakrát ročně a vždy se snaží přinést novinky a vylepšení jednotlivých programů.

This review is focused on geotechnical software suite GEO5. Software GEO was launched for the first time 25 years ago as an auxiliary tool for civil engineers and designers for their demanding work. During this time software GEO5 has undergone in progressive development and currently these programs serve more than 3000 customers in 100 countries of the world. Software GEO5 includes 24 software modules for solving of various geotechnical problems. The new version of the software package GEO5 is published twice a year and it always brings a lot of innovations and improvements of individual programs.
