V tomto příspěvku chceme popsat složitost získávání termofyzikálních dat k naplnění databáze simulačního software ProCAST francouzské firmy PAM – ESI Group. K získání těchto dat je potřeba velké řady experimentů, proto zde obecně popíšeme základní zkoušky voskových směsí, potřebná data pro simulace a zaměříme se na popis vybraných experimentů – zejména ty vlastnosti, které slouží k simulaci plnění kovové formy voskem - tj. viskozita, z pohledu přenosu tepla - kalorimetrická zkouška a z pohledu deformací – měření deformací pomocí tenzometrů. Pro výrobu voskových modelů ve firmě Prague Casting Services a.s. je používána polystyrenem plněná vosková směs s obchodním názvem Hyfill B 417 od anglického výrobce REMET®.

In this paper we describe the complexity of obtaining thermo-physical data to populate database for the simula-tion software ProCAST from French PAM -ESI Group. To obtain these data, there is a need for large number of experiments, so we generally describe the basic tests of wax mixtures, the necessary data for simulation and focus on the description of selected experiments - especially those properties that are used to simulate filling of metal mold with wax – i.e. viscosity, in terms of heat transfer - calorimetric test from the perspective of defor-mations - deformation measurement using strain gauges. For the production of wax models in Prague Casting Services foundry is used polystyrene filled wax mixture with the trade name Hyfill B 417 from the English man-ufacturer REMET ®.
