This paper recalls modes which can propagate on the conductor-backed slotline. The characteristic of the dominant mode on the CBSL is documented. The ICBSL is a modification of the CBSL placed in a dielectric with permittivity higher than the substrate permittivity. The modes on this line, including the interesting dominant leaky mode, are presented.eng
