Studium B fyziky na experimentu ATLAS

Abstract

Tato disertacní práce se věnuje studiu narušení CP symetrie a dobe života B mezonů. Fáze φs popisující CP narušení je ve Standardním modelu částic velice přesně určená. Jakékoliv odchylky od této teoretické hodnoty mohou naznacit existenci fyziky mimo popis Standardním modelem. První analýza v této práci studuje narušení CP symetrie v rozpadu B0s → J/ψφ. Další analýza prezentovaná v této práci se zameřuje na měření efektivní doby života mesonu B0.

This thesis focuses on the study of the CP violation and B meson lifetime properties. The Standard Model predicts the CP violating mixing phase φs to be very small and its theoretical value is very well constrained, while any measured deviations from the Standard Model value can indicate New Physics not described by the Standard Model. The first analysis described in this thesis is devoted to the CP violation in decays of B0s → J/ψφ. The second analysis presented in this thesis focuses on measuring the B0 effective lifetime.
