The Doctoral Thesis is focused on four different topics in the field of neutrino physics and double-beta decay. First, we calculate the total cross section for inelastic scattering of low-energy neutrinos by atomic electrons for the neutrino detectors Borexino and GEMMA. Then, we study neutrinoless and two-neutrino bound-state double-beta decay with emission of a single electron by means of the GRASP2K package for the double-beta-decay experiments NEMO-3 and SuperNEMO, as well as CUORE, EXO-200, and GERDA. Next, we investigate the left-right symmetric extension of the Standard Model and employ the interpolating formula for nuclear matrix elements to identify the regions of dominance of the light vs. heavy Majorana-neutrino exchange mechanism of neutrinoless double-beta decay in the neutrino parameter space based on the experiment KamLAND-Zen. Finally, we propose the so-caled quark-condensate seesaw mechanism for generation of Majorana neutrino mass and predict the normal hierarchy for the spectrum of neutrino masses from the present experimental limits on the half-lives of neutrinoless double-beta decay.cze
