Abstract

Předkládaná práce se zabývá přípravou a výzkumem křemenných optických vláken dopovaných ionty thulia a holmia za účelem jejich použití ve vláknových laserech.

The doctoral thesis deals with preparation and research of silica optical fibers doped with thulium or holmium for a use in fiber lasers. The thesis is focused on development of technology of optical fibers preparation by a modified chemical vapor deposition in combination with solution doping and nanoparticle doping. Holmium-doped silica fibers with an up-to-date record value of fluorescence lifetime, low laser threshold and high slope efficiency are among the main results. In the case of thulium-doped silica fibers, the energy transfer coefficients between thulium ions were determined.
