V této bakalářské práci je obsažen základní přehled o krystalografii a porovnání různých způsobů reprezentace krystalové orientace. Dále je diskutována teorie elektronové mikroskopie, konkrétně SEM, EBSD a stručně i EDS. Popis zahrnuje celkové schéma mikroskopu, analýzu difrakčních jevů a následnou analýzu difrakčních obrazců. Celkem čtyři sady dat byly zpracovány a zobrazeny pomocí programů EDAX OIM Analysis™ a MATLAB. In this bachelor thesis, a basic overview of crystallography and a comparison of different ways of representing crystal orientation is given. The theory of electron microscopy, specifically SEM, EBSD and briefly EDS, is discussed. The description includes an overall microscope schematic, analysis of diffraction phenomena, and subsequent pattern analysis. A brief description of the major hexagonal metals and various methods of metal sample preparation for EBSD are also provided. The main emphasis is on the different ways of processing the measured data. Some of these methods were subsequently demonstrated on titanium sample data measured with the assistance of the operator and supplied titanium and magnesium sample data. A total of four sets of data were processed and displayed using EDAX OIM Analysis™ and MATLAB software. The processing consisted of a series of modifications designed specifically for the data analysed to allow subsequent discussion of the results and comparison with the available literature. Via this processing and discussion the thesis intends to demonstrate various methods of advanced EBSD analysis and their usefulness for the study of hexagonal metals.
