Abstract
Táto diplomová práca sa zameriava na optimalizačnú metódu Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) s cieľom aplikovať ju na konkrétne procesy vo firme. V súčasnom podnikateľskom prostredí zohráva optimalizácia procesov kľúčovú úlohu pri zabezpečovaní dlhodobého rastu, stability a posilňovaní konkurencieschopnosti spoločnosti. Práca sa venuje charakteristike metódy PSO, jej princípom a procesom, implementácii do konkrétneho softwarového prostredia a v neposlednom rade jej nasadeniu v podnikovom prostredí. Na základe získaných poznatkov je navrhnutý a realizovaný konkrétny prípad využitia PSO v procesoch vybranej spoločnosti.
Pre dosiahnutie stanovených cieľov bola najprv vykonaná komplexná rešerše, zahrňujúca nie len klasické optimalizačné metódy, ale aj moderné heuristické a metaheuristické prístupy s dôrazom na PSO metódu. Na základe teoretických poznatkov bol vypracovaný všeobecný matematický model algoritmu, ktorý bol implementovaný v prostredí Python. Toto prostredie bolo zvolené na základe analýzy, ktorá prebehla prostredníctvom komparatívneho hodnotenia platforiem ako Python, MATLAB, R a Java, s cieľom vybrať najvhodnejšie riešenie pre ďalšie využitie. Následne bol algoritmus prispôsobený tak, aby bolo možné jeho využitie na konkrétny príklad nacenenia produktov a maximalizáciu zisku vo vybranej spoločnosti.
Dosiahnuté výsledky potvrdzujú, že Particle Swarm Optimization je efektívnym a flexibilným nástrojom pre optimalizáciu cenových stratégií vo výrobnom a predajnom prostredí. Navrhnutý prístup poskytuje pevný základ pre budúce aplikácie tejto metódy v reálnych podnikových podmienkach a môže slúžiť ako model pre ďalší výskum a rozvoj optimalizačných techník.
This thesis focuses on the optimization method Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) with the aim of applying it to specific processes within a company. In today's business environment, process optimization plays a key role in ensuring long-term growth, stability, and strengthening the company's competitiveness. Therefore, the work centres on characterizing the PSO method, its principles and processes, its implementation into a specific software environment, and importantly, its application in a business context. Based on the acquired knowledge, a specific case of PSO utilization in the processes of a selected company is both proposed and implemented. To achieve the set goals, a comprehensive research review was first conducted, covering not only classical optimization methods but also modern heuristic and metaheuristic approaches with an emphasis on the PSO method. Based on the theoretical insights, a general mathematical model of the algorithm was developed and implemented in the Python environment. This environment was chosen following an analysis that involved a comparative evaluation of platforms such as Python, MATLAB, R and Java, with the aim if selecting the most suitable solution for further use. Subsequently, the algorithm was adapted to enable its application to a specific example involving product pricing and profit maximization in the chosen company. The results achieved confirm that Particle Swarm Optimization is an effective and flexible tool for optimizing pricing strategies in manufacturing and sales environments. The proposed approach provides a solid foundation for future applications aft his method in real business conditions and can serve as a model for further research and development of optimization techniques.
