Abstract
The purpose of this thesis was to outline the issue of vehicle development using selected parameters, to determine the trends in which cars are moving. In the theoretical part I deal with the historical development of the automobile as such, then the internal combustion engine, and then with different types of hybrid and electric vehicles. The two big themes here are the future of the internal combustion engine and the future of non-combustion engine car propulsion. In the statistical section, I move on to the actual analysis of the vehicles. In this thesis I have looked at cars with an internal combustion engine as well as hybrid and fully electric cars. For this purpose, a two-sheet table was created containing 50 and 40 thousand cars and their associated parameters. Graphical visualizations and tables are then plotted from this table. In the conclusion, I summarise the most important ideas I have taken away from my own analysis about the historical development, the current situation and the future of cars and their parameters at the end of this thesis.
