Abstract
The aim of this thesis is modelling of 1D heat transport in multilayer structural elements exposed to fire using the finite difference method and different time discretization methods. Part of this thesis is a state-of-the-art chapter, which describes the various forms of heat transfer, the mathematical basis of the finite difference method and it is mainly focused on unsteady heat transfer with a description of various methods of time discretization and specific of heat conduction in multilayer structures. Following the theoretical part of the work, a calculation of heat transfer in multilayer structural elements during the fire using the finite difference methods is created as well as a software for heat transfer in multilayer structures. The software contains a material database and allows a simple entering of boundary conditions using various nominal and parametric temperature-time curves.
