Abstract
In my bachelor's thesis I focus on the issue of fusional reserves in the practose of an optometrist. Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of visual apparatus. is necessary for a proper understanding of the assessment of fusion reserves. In theory, therefore, I focus on a brief overview of physiology and anatomy, binocular vision, then I focus on heterophoria and fusion reserves, their examination, significance and possible increase. Objectives of the bachelor thesis was to find out how, to what extent and for what reasons are fusion reserves measured in optometric practices. The research method was sociological quantitative research carried out in the form of an online questionnaire. Research shows that most optometrists do not measure fusion reserves. At the same time, research has revealed that more than a third of respondents do not perform binocular screening regularly.
