PLZEŇ - DOPLNĚNÍ MĚSTSKÉ STRUKTURY (ULICE PRESSLOVA, CUKROVARSKÁ A ŘEKA RADBUZA)

Abstract

Tématem diplomního projektu je doplnění městské struktury v Plzni ve východní části čtvrti Doudlevce kolem areálu bývalé vozovny dopravních podniků, lihovaru a cukrovaru. Celá rozvojová plocha je specifická tím, že je v blízkosti historického jádra Plzně a řeky Radbuzy, která přináší příjemný kontakt s přírodou v městském prostředí. Dalším prvkem území je jeho industriálním charakter – jako stopa po minulosti. Projekt se zabývá doplněním městské struktury s důrazem na zachování a využití původních objektů za účelem vzniku funkčního městského prostoru, veřejných prostorů a využitím potenciálu, které dané místo má.The topic of the Master‘s Thesis is the completion of the urban city structure in Pilsen in the eastern part of the Doudlevce district around the area of the former depot of the city transportation company, distillery and sugar factory. The whole development area is specific with its vicinity to the historical center of Pilsen and the Radbuza River, which brings a pleasant contact with nature in the urban environment. The other specification of the area is its industrial character - as a trace of its past. The project focuses on the completion of the urban city structure with an emphasis on the preservation and use of the original buildings in order to create functional urban space, public spaces and use the potential that the place has.
