Abstract
Bachelor's thesis is focused on possibilities of use video gaming technology for health and safety training. In the first part, it analyzes Czech legislation of health and safety training and deals with issues in workplace accidents within the Czech construction industry. Furthermore, it describes current influences of the video gaming industry on hardware and software technologies, which are used in other industries and fields. Based on these premises, the author suggests to design a mobile video game focused on the topic of health and safety on a construction site, in order to increase an attractiveness of training and this way increase comprehensibility and knowledge of health and safety principles primarily among foreign workers with language and cultural barriers. In the second part, the thesis is focused on the video game design itself. This part includes a main concept and a detailed design of the video game and generally documented process of modeling, animation and programming. The result of bachelor's thesis is a simple demo version of the video game, along with a final summary and evaluation of the first and second part and a suggestion for possible future research.
