This Master's thesis has three main objectives: tentative synthesis and characterization of CsPbBr3 and CsPbCl3 nanocrystals, optimization of the synthesis method aiming for enhancing the long-term stability of prepared colloidal solutions and preferred formation of the smallest particles, and synthesis of the core-shell materials (embedding of the nanocrystals into a solid matrix or growing a suitable shell on their surface). The theoretical part of this thesis summarizes the knowledge on luminescent materials, describes the TOF PET imaging method where these materials find their application and finally compiles the findings about the studied material and its core-shell structures. The experimental part of this thesis is structured with respect to the objectives. The synthesis method was successfully optimized, and two types of core-shell materials were prepared. Nanocrystals were embedded into a polystyrene matrix and a silica shell was grown on their surface.
